While this position is based in Odense, Denmark, our team members work at many different locations, so a great deal of your work would be in virtual teams across borders. A little about you
The software project manager we’re looking for should be a very professional person, used to working in a
structured manner along established processes to achieve both the right product and a fast time-to-market for new products. We also expect that you optimize processes where it makes sense, and that you generally take on the role as the person in the team, who challenges and controls the known facts, the established priorities, and the commercial predictions of the others project members.

As our software project manager your key to success is your ability to combine your expertise in running businesscritical projects with professional know-how in the technologies we use and a winning personality in a team. In each of our locations we do our utmost for our employees and there is always something going on in the local expert teams. When you travel to the other sites, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the events here, giving you a wide array of experiences both professionally and personally.

Your main tasks include

  • Leading cross-functional teams to ensure that products are delivered on time, fulfilling requirements with the required quality whilst also keeping within the budgeted costs
  • Leading international and complex projects ensuring the resources and skills needed in alignment with the line management
  • Ensuring the Hexagon Innovation Process (HIP) is applied appropriately to the relevant projects
  • Integrating key suppliers and partners into the development process and project teams to ensure effective and efficient execution of projects
  • Facilitating good communication and teamwork within the teams
  • Facilitating quality planning and active risk management throughout the project teams
  • Facilitating timely decision making within the teams and with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are reached 
  • Providing clear and timely reporting of project information to management and stakeholders
  • Estimating costs for future projects during the budgeting process
  • Contributing to the improvement of the HIP and Project Management processes and their related tools
  • Contributing to the Project Management team and community Building


Your profile

  • University Degree in a technical discipline (preferably Software, Electronics or Mechatronic Engineering)
  • At least 7 years’ experience as project manager in cross functional projects with product software
    development
  • Founded experience leading international teams in a global company with a strong brand name
  • Experience working in accordance with an established and managed process
  • Experience managing software development processes using agile methods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent English is a prerequisite (spoken and written), while other languages are highly regarded
  • Certification as project manager (IPMA level C or B) is advantageous
  • Own hands-on SW development experience in advantageous
  • Strong leadership competence
  • Interest in traveling and working with colleagues of different cultures
  • Open minded, structured, team player - diplomatic and engaged
