For PureteQ

MARITIME SALES MANAGER
- Experienced industry insider with a good Network

Are you experienced in selling large-scale retrofit projects in the maritime industry? Does salt water flow in your veins? And do you have the personal drive to succeed? If yes, then we invite you to join us and live out your ambitions in a position with great responsibility on many levels, particularly in terms of ambitious sales goals with a high-tech environmental technology within the maritime sector.

PureteQ A/S have introduced a brand new, patented, compact and cost-effective wet scrubber on the market. The first system was installed recently on a Ro-Pax ferry servicing Bornholm and commissioning is presently being carried out. PureteQ is negotiating other contracts for installation of Maritime Turbo Scrubbers, and we are therefore preparing for growth. We are looking for a hands-on, ambitious and skilled Sales Manager with solid technical understanding for our Maritime department.

Join our quest to transform environmental issues into sustainable solutions
PureteQ is an engineering company that specializes in the development, installation, start-up and commissioning of patented high-tech process plants in co-operation with suppliers of parts and services.  We solve environmental issues for our customers in the on- and offshore industries, with a special focus on the maritime sector.

Our systems transform liquid hazardous waste and industrial by-products into sustainable, clean energy. We construct technologies, such as systems for treatment of flue gas, exhaust gas and process water, that reduce or eliminate combustion and incineration related issues, and we provide heat recovery systems for flue gas emissions. With our systems, shipowners have a valid way to become compliant with new maritime environmental rules and regulations.

PureteQ is a subsidiary of the Dansk Synergi A/S conglomerate, and our headquarters, production facilities and test center are located in the city of Svendborg. PureteQ have developed five technologies in the patent pipeline, of which all have been published and the demands have been filed. Our internal communication is informal, and we have and maintain a very good team-spirit. We expect you to be working in our Svendborg facilities, when you’re not travelling.

Key responsibilities
With reference to our Senior Vice President, you will be responsible for keeping contact to our customers – present and new – in relation to retrofit projects as well as projects on new ships. Your responsibility includes sales and marketing activities, and preparation of detailed offers and the relevant follow-up actions to ensure that we grow our turnover as planned, including:

  • Global sales & marketing directly to shipowners and shipyards with 80-100 travelling days per year
  • Continuously develop relation to existing customers based on their need for sustainable solutions
  • Start-up and grow relations to new customers globally
  • Organize and structure work with existing and new contacts digitally across the company (e.g. CRM)
  • Preparation of solid tenders and proposals
  • Commercial optimization of projects by following and fulfilling customers’ needs
  • Work closely with technology and project management to supply projects timely and on-cost
  • Develop sales strategy together with the top management
  • Preparation of necessary documents and materials for sales & marketing and after sales service
  • Participate in FAT and SAT test of equipment/parts

Your profile
You are probably either a well-performing maritime or offshore sales person looking for the next step in your career, or an experienced maritime or offshore sales manager looking for new challenges in a company with a good culture and excellent team spirit. We expect that you already know what it takes to fill the position, but the following points are key to achieving the expected results:

  • 5+ years’ successful experience in sales & marketing of technical equipment to retrofit or newbuild projects in the maritime/shipping/offshore industry – both to shipowners and yards
  • Background as a Marine Engineer or a similar electrical and/or technical education/experience
  • Familiar with approval requirements from Class and Flag State
  • Solid technical understanding – interest in chemistry is an advantage, but not a requirement
  • Keeping the bigger picture in view at all times, while understand the importance of minding the details
  • A high energy level and a personal drive that makes you excel at your work
  • Ability to inspire your colleagues and walk the extra mile to make things happen
  • Skilled at managing change and constantly looking to challenge the norms to do things better
  • 80-100 travelling days per year to projects and suppliers

As you will be part of a small, effective organization with presently 15 employees, it is very important that you have excellent co-operative skills, and will join the team with a good sense of humour to match our company culture.
